Don’t Go at it Alone

Asking someone to review your resume can be awkward. Maybe you’re worried that they’re going to judge your lack of work experience or secretly think you aren’t qualified for the jobs you’re applying for.

Don’t let uncertainty or awkwardness get in the way of your future success. Having someone look over your resume is critical. Whether it’s to catch a mistake you missed or strategize how best to show off your experiences and skills, getting a second opinion is an essential part of the application process. Even better when it’s someone with professional experience who has seen the resumes that make it through the door – and those that are immediately thrown out.
